My main crafter is making items for analysis to level up some more crafters. To keep open the UI of TraitBuddy would be very helpful. I don't know if this should work or if it interferes with other addons I have. But I know, that I can keep "Inventory Insight" open while crafting.

Known by no longer showing in tooltip for recipes & patterns. It's set to on & does work for gear.
I only made the smallest of changes. I did not touch the tooltips.
ESO recipes are food, food does not have traits so TraitBuddy does nothing with those.

I have done some investigation, it's interesting the game is firing off the event EVENT_NON_COMBAT_BONUS_CHANGED before the player is activated with the event EVENT_PLAYER_ACTIVATED.
This can be seen as my variable player_activated is still set as false in the error message you shared...

Search your ESO Addons folder for a text file containing either of these:

That is because you have installed version 3.1 of TraitBuddy changed by Mitsarugi over 5 years old.
The only way to fix this now is to totally uninstall TraitBuddy.
Download my version, no one else's, the current version is 8.4.3
If it is still erroring at that point, you will have to clear the Saved Variables for...

Companion traits do not register as researchable.
Removed the option I just added to show and hide trait information from companion item tooltips.
