 Why do healing numbers from potions...

Why do healing numbers from potions and self heals show up in the Outgoing field instead of incoming? Also, Id love it, if you could set colors in the 2 fields independently of each other. So that you can have incoming damage show up as red, regardless of type and outgoing dmg white with yellow crits for example.
