Every Windows or even Windows Defender update may add extra security checks and as Minion is an "older" Java tool it might get blocked as Windows no thinks it is mailcious code.
That could happen every time so got nothing to do with how long it worked. It depends on "when does Microsoft or any other of your used providers change anything".
I understand why you insist on "nothing changed" but that's how software actually works, everywhere
So you cannot say "nothing changed" as you never know all that changes, and especially not when.
So these log files of Minion would have told me that by e.g. an error due to missing rights/access restrictions, and I'd have easily told you to add the exclusion to Windows Defender then directly (just as an explanation why I asked for the files "to help yourself"
).
Just for the future if you got other problems:
The files in your AppData folder might be hidden, or the total folder might be hidden, so you need to enable to see hidden files and folders in your
windows explorer:
