Bards "track selector"

What's available in the API for the various bards around the world? I sometimes get really tired of hearing them sing, although I don't mind their instrumental work. Is it possible to disable the singing parts (or, failing that, muting them altogether)?

Muting them is possible by aldready exisitng addon(s). Just searhc for "bard".
They use a kind of workaround like muting the SFX in the area where bards play so you won't hear any spells etc. neither.

Track changes are not possible afaik because we cannot chnage the sounds or the order of the sounds.

I notice the bards interrupt the background music... Sounds like it's too engrained in the game to work with, yeah.
