Afaik, there is no easy or straight forward way to do that, as Beatram already said.


The only way I am aware of doing something like this is kinda what you already described.
Which is, keeping a table with the unitId and the status effect, and then map the unit id to people when you have them in your reticle.

This can work in PvE environment. I have done something similar there (I was tracking the health of non-boss units and identified them based on specific abilities they casted rather than the name via the reticle. Same principle though, just this way it didnt depend on localization)

But the good thing about PvE, there is a limited amount of enimies, and with some regular clean up of the tables and such, you dont have any noticeable performance impact.

I have never tried it in PvP, but even in small encounters I would expect some laggs and such.
